you will need a 4 wheel drive axle nut socket on the gm it is a large 4 prong socket once you remove the locking mech with the 6 hex head screws the socket will remove the bearing retainer and the rotor will pull off. good luck and remember the order of the parts and clean off all the old grease. How do i change the rotors on my 1988?
hey Dallas

You are going to need to disassemble the hub, just take it a part, but don't mix them up because you are going to have to put it back the same way it comes out. then you will need a to take out the, I believe there is a snap ring, then you will need a special socket it's called a castle socket (it is a really big socket that is smooth on the sides and the bottom have two or three notches that fit on top of the nut) think it has been a while since I change my hub on my 88, Then it should slide right off. Try not to damage the axle threads when siding it off. Oh yea don't forget to take off the break calipers.

have a nice day....cya....
